Ferran Adrià has annonunced the launch of a new website that lists everyone who ever played a part in the success of elBulli, his famed restaurant on the Costa Brava.
Bullinianos is a directory of the managers, sommeliers, chefs and more – the 'Bullinianos' – who helped make elBulli consistently the most talked about and many would say best restaurant in world until it finally shut its doors in 2011 – including those involved with the elBulli Foundation, his ongoing post elBulli project.
The roll call of chefs who passed through the restaurant's kitchens is truly staggering: René Redzepi, Andoni Luis Aduriz, Grant Achatz and Gaggan Anand, to name but a few. It goes to show just how monumentally influential the restaurant was, not just in terms of how it directly changed food forever, but what its alumni have since gone on to achieve.
Find out what else Adrià had to say about his current projects, when he took to the stage at a recent special #50BestTalks event in Barcelona.
