Some people have all the luck, don’t they? Would you like Ferran Adrià of elBulli to cook you lunch in your own home? Of course you would.
Well, that’s what happened to one lucky New York Times reporter back in 2008, a few years before the restaurant’s closure.
In the video below we follow the Spanish chef on one of his trips to the city, as he goes food shopping in Manhattan’s Chinatown (with José Andrés in tow) and then, get this, goes back to the reporter’s apartment to cook all those assembled lunch.
It’s amazing what he manages to rustle up with just a few ingredients, and it all looks fresh and delicious, bringing a touch of the Mediterranean to Manhattan’s Lower East Side.
