Online reservations provider OpenTable has named its 100 best restaurants in the UK for 2016 and claiming the top spot for a second year in a row is the two Michelin star The Ledbury in London.
The restaurant, headed by chef Brett Graham, beat off competition from The Five Fields and Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, which came second and third respectively in the list based on nearly half a million reviews submitted by OpenTable diners.
The Notting Hill restaurant is consistently voted one of the best in the UK. Dishes on the £120/$150 (£210/$260 with wine) tasting menu include Roast Scallop with Violina Pumpkin and Trompettes, and Chinese Water Deer, Smoked Bone Marrow, Quince and Red Leaves. It currently sits at 14 on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants list.
Nine out of the top 10 restaurants are to be found in London, with Liverpool’s The Art School Restaurant the only entry outside of the capital. See the top 10 below and the full list here.
