This Family Garden Produces a Serious Amount of Food

A family in South LA say they are earning £20,000 annually and eating all year round thanks to the produce they grow in their own back yard.

The Dervaes family, seen in the video below, explain that they are producing 4,300 pounds of vegetables, 900 chicken, a 1,000 duck eggs and 25 pounds of honey each year thanks to what started as a tiny corner of their garden.

As you can see in the video, tending to such a tightly packed garden takes a lot of work but the family reap massive rewards.

They also explain how they are planting using old style farming techniques, something that seems to be paying them dividends.
