Prada has opened its very own pastry shop with a unique move that saw the fashion label buy an 80 percent stake in Angelo Marchesi SRL, the company that opened Milan’s famous Pasticceria Marchesi shop.
Pasticceria Marchesi has been an icon of Milan since its opening back in 1824 and this week they opened their first new location under the reign of Prada with a brand new shop on the luxury street of Via Monte Napoleone.
A quick look inside he new location shows how the traditional pastry shop has taken on a new design that seems to look like the inside of a Prada handbag that’s stuffed with sweets.
The pastry shop opened this week and is, thankfully, still under control of Marchesi family when it comes to the food on offer.
