Massimo Bottura has announced plans to take his Osteria Francescana restaurant to London for a three day pop-up at the end of June.
Taking place at at the art galleries of Sotheby’s in London, Bottura will cook a seven course tasting menu for three days starting June 27th to 29th.
Riffing on the link between art and food, the Italian chef will cook some of dishes motivated by art - like his Damien Hirst inspired ‘Beautiful Psychedelic Spin-painted veal, not flame grilled’ - a dish that is reminiscent of Hirst’s spin-paintings.
The dining room, which will be inside the auction house’s art galleries, will feature a collection of art work on the walls that have helped influence Bottura’s style of cooking.
The price of the dinner is £250 with an additional £95 for wine pairings. Anyone wishing to book should visit the dedicated Sotheby’s page.
