Most of us don't think twice about our morning routines. They are usually a blur of activities: showering, drinking coffee, eating breakfast and - depending on your interests - exercising or catching up on news.
These ordinary actions may seem boring but in the hands of Berlin-based designer Rebecca Martin they become a vehicle of artistic expression. Martin, who is also a set stylist and art director, collaborated with photographer by Rita Braz to produce Morning Rituals, a series of tongue-in-cheek photos blending humor with the unexpected.
Morning Rituals marries typical breakfast food with non-edible items that are a regular part of our A.M. routine. Soap sandwich, anyone?
