Wine writer and sommelier Hamish Anderson has compiled a list of what he believes to be the best Beaujolais wines on the high street.
He believes we should all be embracing the lighter side of red wines this spring and suggests the wines from the Eastern region of Beaujolais in France to be the perfect start.
The wine expert gives up three examples of different Beaujolais wines for The Telegraph, starting at £10 and going up to £12.95.
The piece explains a little about wines from the 10 Beaujolais areas as Anderson presents his case for why we should all be taking note of the lighter, fruitier side of red wines - especially as the weather starts to get hotter.
He Lists:
2013 Fleurie - Georges Duboeuf,
2013 Brouilly - Chateau des Tours,
2013 Saint Amour -Domaine Des Pierres Trichard
