Hey, beer drinkers. Your adventures at high sea just got a little more interesting. That's because Carnival cruise line has announced its newest fleet will have a brewery on board - a first for a North American cruise.
The RedFrog Pub will craft its on beer aboard the 4,000-passenger Carnival Vista. Passengers can choose between three house-made microbrews and watch the beer being made in tanks behind a wall of glass, Eddie Allen, Carnival's vice president for beverage operations told USA TODAY.
Allen said the pub will have its own brewmaster and also feature a wide array of craft beers and cocktails. A grist mill located on a lower deck will allow pub employees to process grains used in the brewing process. Brewery tours and tastings are also being planned.
"Our guests love beer, and they love trying new things... We want to be sure we're putting our heart into this beer and making the best product we can," Allen said.
As if a brewery on board wasn't enough to entertain you for hours, the Carnival Vista will also have an IMAX screen and a flying bike ''sky ride.'' However, if beer isn't your thing there's always this cruise for chocolate lovers.
The Carnival Vista is expected to set sail May 2016.
