What do you get when you put a chef and a rapper together in the kitchen? It's an explosion of flavors you'll witness in this phenomenal video from Taste Talks Brooklyn, an event that brought together chef-rapper Action Bronson and New York City chef Michael White.
Taste Talks, a fun food event sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna, takes place across various cities in the United States and brings together chefs, artisans and professionals who excel in fields outside of the kitchen. The Brooklyn edition was held late last year but the video has just become available.
Bronson who left the kitchen to purse a career as a rap artist is a big fan of White's, so much so he has rapped about dining at the chef's two-Michelin starred restaurant Marea. At Taste Talks Brooklyn they cooked porchetta, a fatty, moist Italian pork roast they paired with Thai flavors.
So what was it like for them to work together? "We've had a good relationship since we've met. He likes the rap, I like the food. It just made sense to collaborate with someone I consider a friend,'' Bronson explained.
Take a look at their unique collaboration below (and don't miss a cameo by Danny Bowien):
