Miito is a cool design that can warm the liquid inside a glass or cup through a clever use of heat induction technology.
Designed by the creative studio Chudy and Grase, the concept works with a clever induction plate and heating rod that’s placed inside whatever liquid you want to heat.
The idea looks to eliminate the need to heat a kettle, something often linked to waste water and energy. Sustainability strategist Leyla Acaroglu explains in the video below that the energy wasted from over filling kettles in just one day could generate enough electricity to power the street lights across a country like England for an entire night.
The concept was presented at Dutch Design Week and we expect to see it appearing on Kickstarter very soon
