Legend has it the first ever champagne coupe was modeled after Marie Antoinette’s left breast. Well, what was hot in the 18th century remains fashionable today as evidenced by a new champagne glass inspired by the left boob of British supermodel Kate Moss.
To celebrate the model's 25 years in the fashion industry, London restaurant 34 has given Moss the royal treatment by producing a unique champagne glass designed after her left breast. The restaurant is where the model celebrated her 40th birthday earlier this year.
The champagne glass has a slender stem reminiscent of Moss' figure. The bowl is decorated in a geometric pattern while the base features the model's signature. It will be sold at 34 starting in October and at its sister restaurants The Club at The Ivy, Daphne’s and Scott’s, High Snobiety reports.
"I was excited to participate in this project – what an honour to be alongside Marie Antoinette – she was a very intriguing and mischievous character," said Moss in a statement. "Champagne is always associated with celebration and happy occasions and I had fun creating this beautiful coupe."
While it may not make your bubbly taste any better, the Kate Moss coupe may just add a little more sensuality to cocktail hour.
