Did you know that the more you pay for food, the more you are bound to enjoy it? That’s what a new study from Cornell University revealed.
To test their theory, researchers went to an Italian buffet in upstate New York and studied 139 diners who all ate the same food. Customers paid either $4 or $8 for their meal before being asked to rate the food and restaurant. The study revealed customers who paid $8 for the buffet enjoyed their food more than those who paid less.
Researchers also noted that people who paid for the $4 buffet were more likely to report feelings of overeating and guilt, Time reports.
Now you know why a meal at the world’s best restaurant or that $450 pizza taste so good…Perhaps your next thrill can come from the world's most expensive tasting menu?
