Before producing cars, the French company Peugeot made metal and wood coffee mills and as you can see they were beautiful contraptions.
In this post from Core77 there's a look at the history of Peugeot's vintage coffee mill designs dating back to 1840.
The first designs were created using a combination of wood and metal with beans placed inside before being slowly crushed by a blade operated by gears. Users would then collect their freshly grinding beans from a wooden draw at the bottom.
The designs are simple, functional and look great - there's even a snap shot of what we may have had if the car company had continued producing coffee grinders.
