During a recent interview with Bloomberg TV, Martha Stewart spoke candidly about her thoughts on Gwyneth Paltrow's interest in following her footsteps as a food and lifestyle expert.
''I haven't eaten at Gwyneth's houses and I've never seen how she lives but if she's authentic all the better. I certainly hope she is,'' Stewart said. But the domestic maven had a reminder for the actress: ''I started this whole category of lifestyle.''
In recent years, Paltrow has written a series of cookbooks and launched a website dedicated to food, fashion and the home. The Hollywood A-lister has received her fair share of criticism from skeptics who doubt her kitchen prowess.
Aware of some of her accomplishments, Stewart had kind words for Paltrow: ''Gwyneth, for example, has a book on the best seller list. She must be doing something right. She's a charming pretty person.''
