If there's one thing you need to know about the Philippines is that people are serious about their pasta. A group of citizens have taken to the streets to petition for more sauce on their spaghetti – not just any spaghetti, we're referring to the special Jollibee Spaghetti served at the nation's most popular fast food joint.
Jollibee dishes out spaghetti served with a sweet sauce that contains chuky bits of ham, sausage and ground beef. It's served a top noodles and gets a final dusting of cheese to make it the ''spaghettiest'' pasta on the menu. There's just one problem with this popular dish: people are demanding more sauce.
A petition started by Dominique Francesca Marie Banaag from Manila requests more ''sauce and hot dogs'' (sausages) simply ''because having more pasta and less sauce is just plain disappointing.'' The petition already has 931 supporters, a few dozen just shy of the 1,000 signatures that are needed to revolutionize Jollibee Spaghetti.
So far, the petition has garned interesting comments like ''We love ourselves some saucy spaghetti!'' and ''It's too bland to eat more of pasta and no sauce.'' The people have spoken, are you listening Jollibee?
