We've all had Iron Chef American envy - you know, when you're sitting at home wishing you could switch places with one of the judges so you can actually taste what the fuss is about. Forget fantasizing, now you can savor those dishes at home with the new line of Iron Chef America frozen foods.
The line is actually called À La Cuisine and features a variety of frozen meal kits in flavors like Beef Mongolian, Butter Chicken, Sesame Beef and Spicy Szechuan Chicken. According to the video advertisement below the meals promise to be ready in 12 minutes.
The hearty meals will be chock-full of veggies and protein. For instance, the sesame beef meal kit contains 9.65 ounces of beef, 12.6 ounces of vegetables, 12.15 ounces of rice and 5.75 ounces of sauce. The other frozen meals contain a similar ration of ingredients. Not bad for a frozen meal for four.
Although the meals where conceived as Iron Chef dishes, the kits are not being produced by any Food Network chefs, according to Food Network Gossip.
