Anyone who has ever attended culinary school can tell you what a pain it is to flute mushrooms. Carving mushrooms is a delicate skill that takes a long time to learn.
That didn't seem to faze artist Corey Corcoran, who used mushrooms as a canvas for etching intricate shapes and patterns inspired by nature.
Corcoran, who is based in Boston, uses Artist Conk mushrooms - which have a unique shape and a wide base to work with. Check out some of his amazing mushroom food art below.
