The team at Grant Achatz's Next in Chicago has done it again. They've put out a second video teaser promoting their upcoming Kyoto menu.
The first teaser left us hungry for details about the food but this one still doesn't hint at what will be served. Instead, it is nail-bittingly dark, bloody and intriguing. Shot in the style of a Japanese horror film, the Next teaster #2 pays homage to Japanese film maker Takashi Miike, who is known for his shockingly violent films.
The video is narrated by a bride whose husband is out to kill the world's greatest chefs. Why? Because he knows he'll never be a great chef and not even her tears ''could season his sauces.''
We see the leather-clad smoking Japanese man driving through the streets when we learn he has already killed a few chefs. But he is out for just one more...watch out Grant Achatz!
