If you closed your eyes and used your wildest imagination to design the candy shop of your dreams, you might come up with something that looks a lot like The Candy Store in Melbourne. This sugar-free candy shop is literally a destination and an experience.
Playful art is drawn on white walls, which along with a dizzying array of colorful candy, creates a three dimensional illusion that makes your shopping experience all that much sweeter. This exciting and charismatic design is the masterpiece of he Red Design Group.
The designers wanted to create the illusion of a shop by simply drawing. For instance, instead of installing stools or lamps, they painted them on the walls. On their website, the designers explained their concept: ''Being strongly influenced by the idea of designing a playful, simple and somewhat illusional space for the Candy Room, the exaggeration of a 'room' idea was formulated. The application was to use line artwork on white space to represent a room.''
