Do you ever wish you could carry a list of the best restaurants in town in your pocket? Serious food lovers will rejoice with a new iPhone free app, which keeps the top dining destinations in Germany and Austria at your fingertips.
In essence, the app is the digital version of the prestigious restaurant guide S. Pellegrino Culinary selection Kulinarische Auslese. It offers connoisseurs a list and ranking of the 2012 best chefs of Germany and Austria. The top chefs were awarded their ranks during the 13th edition of the S.Pellegrino Culinary Selection awards celebrated in Munich last February.
When you select the country you are visiting (Germany or Austria), you can search for restaurants by name as well as location. You may also search for restaurants by chef, rank or even using your current location.
Searching by location yields the restaurants closest to you with their awarded rank. Each restaurant is listed with its complete address, telephone number, name of the chef and its number of Michelin stars or other awards. There is also a direct link to the restaurant’s website.
In case you fear getting lost, the app is powered by Google maps so you can easily find your way. The map helps you find your desired restaurant, as well as other top fine dining spots in the area.
