Amazon Prime Video has revealed a first look at Jeremy Clarkson’s new television series, Clarkson's Farm, which follows the trials, tribulations and successes of his first year as a farmer working the land.
Described as a 'journalist, broadcaster and a man who travels the world to slide sideways in supercars while shouting', Clarkson has swapped the keys for his Lamborghini Aventador for a Lamborghini tractor and taken up farming. The series documents the presenter’s agricultural journey and is available to stream on the platform in June.
With no agricultural experience or knowledge to draw on, and helped only by a gang of agricultural associates, Clarkson rolls his sleeves up and gets his hands dirty for the first time, discovering the challenges faced by modern farmers.
This is not a jokey version of The Grande Tour on a tractor however, and Clarkson is stretched to the limits of his abilities as he endures the hardships, highs and many lows of back-breaking agricultural work on Clarkson’s Farm.
Viewers will, according to Amazon Prime Video, get to see another side of Clarkson, as his switch to the farming lifestyle is a more than just a quirky plot line for a television series, but is born of a genuine draw to work the land and live the life of a farmer.
Despite being firmly outside his comfort zone, and despite having to navigate many challenges, Clarkson told The Sunday Times: “It does fill me with joy”.
Clarkson’s Farm will launch Friday 11th June on Amazon Prime Video.
