What are cereal pancakes?
Cereal pancakes are simply baby pancakes made with pancake batter and heaped in a bowl, just like cereal.
You can mix things up by going for flavoured cereal pancakes, using different kinds of batter such as chocolate-chip batter and banana batter, or go carb-free with gluten-free batter.

How to make cereal pancakes?
Cereal pancakes are similar to making your usual pancake recipe but instead of baking medium or large stacks of pancakes, pour the batter into a container suitable for dosing small portions. Try using a small plastic bag with a small hole cut in the corner or a squeeze-bottle, and pipe mini dots of dough in a buttered or oiled pan.
When small bubbles form on the surface, turn the mini pancakes over, as you would with a normal pancake.
Then, take your pick of toppings, from milk to maple syrup. You can pour a little honey or maple syrup on your cereal pancakes before sprinkling them with milk, or just butter and syrup...
But believe us when we say, even if the result is a novelty, making these mini-pancakes is a labour of love, so make sure you start piping and flipping before huger strikes.
