Le Grand Fooding Milan 2011
The Triumph of the Giant Spaghetti: what if the best Italian dishes were no longer made in Italy?
After New York, Le Grand Fooding gets ready to make its appearance in Milan. The theme of the second Italian edition is The gigantic spaghetti. For three evenings, from 20 to 22 October, four chefs – two Italians and two non-Italians – will confront a provocative question: does one eat better Italian food in Italy or abroad?
The Italian “team” will be composed of Andrea Berton (Trussardi alla Scala, Milan), Davide Oldani (D’O, Cornaredo), Massimo Bottura (Osteria Francescana, Modena), Moreno Cedroni (Madonnina del Pescatore, Senigallia), Cristiano Tomei (L’Imbuto, Viareggio), Pino Cuttaia (La Madia, Licata). The “non-Italian” chefs instead are a mix of talents, including Mauro Colagreco (Mirazur, Menton), Federica and Fabrizio Mancioppi (Caffè dei Cioppi, Paris), Giovanni Passerini (Bistrot Rino, Parisi), Christian Puglisi (Relae, Copenhagen), Mario Carbone (Torrisi Italian Specialties, New York) and Pier Paolo Picchi (Picchi, San Paolo).
All foodies in the vicinity of Milan, should be sure to save the date:
20,21,22 October Le Grand Fooding will be at the “Opificio 31" in via Tortona.
