La Vendemmia 2013: Fashion, Wine & Luxury in Milan

Fashion and wine lovers should flock to Milan this weekend for the exquisite opportunity to experience luxury and Italy's finest wines.

Called La Vendemmia, Italian for grape harvest, the special event will take place October 10-13th at the boutiques of luxury brands on Via MonteNapoleone, Via Sant'Andrea and Via Verri - Milan's most prestigious shopping district. It's a splendid opportunity to combine fashion, wine and fine dining.

Thanks to the collaboration between L’Associazione della Via MonteNapoleone and Italy's Grand Cru Committee, along with the support from S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna, different wine cellars will set up shop at participating boutiques of luxury brands from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

While the 10th of October will be reserved for selected guests, from the 11th on all visitors will participate in wine tastings and have access to a personal shopper as they browse fashion items in the district’s luxury boutiques of many renowned luxury brands.

You can't miss a special wine tasting event on October 11th that will feature 100 wines part of Italy's Grand Cru Committee, at the PAC Museum of Contemporary Art.

To spice things up even more, Milan's five-star hotels will offer special packages, menus and activities related to wine. Among them will be the opportunity to participate in vertical wine tasting of different vintages, of one of Italy's Grand Cru wines, including I Sodi di San Nicolò - Domini Castellare di Castellina at Armani Hotel, Tenuta dell'Ornellaia - Ornellaia Tenuta dell’Ornellaia at Bulgari Hotel, Guado al Tasso - Marchesi Antinori at Grand Hotel Et De Milan, San Leonardo - Tenuta San Leonardo at The Westin Palace and Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Riserva Biondi Santi Tenuta Greppo at Park Hyatt. Proceeds from the event will go to charity.

Furthermore, fine dining restaurants located in the city center will offer special menus and wine pairings on October 7-13th.
