Chef's Discovery, World's Culinary Excellence Gathers in Russia

St. Petersburg's dining scene has started to be rocked! Food lovers will have the unique opportunity of sampling the exquisite cuisine of chefs from around the world who will come to Russia and team up with local restaurants to cook special dinners. Visiting chefs will hail from as far away as South Africa and Seychelles as part of the Chef’s Discovery series, an exciting dining initiative sponsored by S. Pellegrino.

Chef’s Discovery consists of a series of six dinners arranged and hosted at different venues throughout St. Petersburg. Each dinner will feature a different international chef who will cook alongside local talented chefs to produce once-in-a-lifetime dinners.

The first Chef’s Discovery dinner featured the bold cuisine of Moscow chef Dmitry Zotov (in the picture). The young chef prepared a seven-course dinner at Luce restaurant on 1st March. Highlights of the evening included king crab cannelloni wrapped in sea-buckthorn with tarragon mousse and a dish of black cod encased in Lapsang Souchong tea leaves and seasoned with ashes made of eggplant skin.

The second dinner of the series will be held at the seafood restaurant Langust on 5th April. Visiting chef will be Jean-Paul Nurris from the Maia Luxury Resort & Spa in Seychelles. Jean-Paul is known for Seychelles creole cuisine – which is a blend of African, Indian and French influences.
