CARE'S 2017: The Ethical Days Chef Event Returns to Italy
From 22 to 25 January 2017 celebrity chefs from around the world will debate major issues affecting the future sustainability of gastronomy.
The second edition of Care's, the ethical event that brings chefs from around the world together, returns to the Dolomites in Alta Badia, for four days devoted to discussion and debate about the critical issues affecting the future of gastronomy.
The event, which launched last year, by Norbert Niederkofler and Paul Ferretti together with Giancarlo Morelli, will take place from 22 to 25 January 2017 and include experts, journalists, and 30 chefs from 6 different continents participating in a number of round table discussions, dinners and workshops.
Sustainability, care of the land, environmental protection and above all ethics are the main issues that CARE's faces from the kitchen seeking to address better ways of operating on both an individual and broader socio-ecnomic scale.
The Chef Line-Up
This year's chef line-up includes the Californian chef Daniel Patterson for North America; Rodolfo Guzman, a champion in Chile of "endemic kitchen" for South America; Christian Puglisi, winner of the award for the most sustainable restaurant in the world in the World's 50 Best Restaurants for Europe; Luca Fantin, Venetian at the helm of the Bulgari Ginza Tower in Tokyo for Asia; Jock Zonfrillo, Aboriginal chef-investigator for Oceania and the winner of the EAT Out Magazine Contest for Africa amongst many more from around th world.
Care's will be alternate between hotels and refuges in Alta Badia, which will host master classes, dinners and above all panel discussions on topics ranging from climate change to zero waste and "smart" architecture to nutrition.
