A look at Le Grand Fooding food festival in New York, an event that will showcase some of the future young stars of the culinary world
Le Grand Fooding New York is back again and this year the food festival seems bigger than ever.
Taking place from 20th - 23rd of September New York will play host to cinematic lunches, camp fire sessions, unusual dining experiences at the Brooklyn Flea Market and all in aid of highlighting emerging young chefs.
On the 22nd and 23rd at the NiteHawk Cinema guests can choose to watch either Warriors or Saturday Night Fever with food prepared by the young French chef Iñaki Aizpitarte from Le Chateaubriand in Paris. Local products will be served, including The Mast Brothers famous chocolate, with Aizpitarte preparing a “piperade”.
Brooklyn is literally bursting with food events over the three days - The Young Turks will cook on the 22nd at Dustin Yellin’s new building, and the Swedish chef Magnus Nilsson will prepare food at “The Luncheon in the Dust” held within Brooklyn's famous flea markets, a homage to vintage food which will be paired with S.Pellegrino waters.
The team from Mission Chinese Food will attend and restaurants will open their doors to host guest chefs, as some of the most exciting dishes of the year are plated in the city.
A full line up and tickets for the event can be found on the Le Grand Fooding Website. If you just can't wait for it all to start here's some pictures from last year's Dine at Nine event.
