Artist Amelia Fais Harnas has created a new series of wine stain portraits: her work is made by staining fabric with red wine using a wax resist (much like batiks) to build a light/dark pattern. Harnas has spent the last few months perfecting the technique and now has some two dozen works on display (including a self portrait).
The series will be showcased at Damiani Wine Cellar (4704 Rt 414 in Burdett, NY) until 21st of June.
