Anthony Mangieri’s New York pizzeria has topped the Italian 50 Top Pizza ranking for the first time, beating Neapolitan and Italian pizzerias.

Una Pizza Napoletana, the acclaimed New York pizzeria has been named the world's best pizza by the Italian 50 Top Pizza 2024 ranking.

The pizzeria by Anthony Mangieri had already topped the ranking as the best in the US, for the third year in a row, by the same organization, now can claim to have the best pizza in the world, beating Neapolitan and Italian pizzerias to the top spot on the list.

Mangieri's childhood obsession with pizza grew into a lifelong dedication to the craft of the pizzaiolo and at Una Pizza Napoletana he has become renowned for his naturally leavened wood-fired pizza with a focus on the very best Italian ingredients. Since opening, Mangieri has made every pizza dough himself, and the restaurant does not open for service unless he can be present.
