The big day has come at last! The concluding event of the S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2015 Grand Final “talent search” open to young chefs under 30 around the world will take place on June 26th 2015. Over 3000 applicants registered and submitted their signature dishes during the opening phase. Twenty young chefs reached the final phase in Milan. And just one of these 20 finalists will win the title.
The whole day of June 26th will be entirely dedicated to the Competition and the Grand Final. In the morning and early afternoon, the 20 finalists will be divided in groups of 10 and will compete to rank among the top 3 finalists. In the evening the three candidates will contend for the title of S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2015. During the final event, a jury of seven famous international chefs – the “seven sages” ─ will judge the Young Chefs: Gastón Acurio, Yannick Alléno, Massimo Bottura, Margot Janse, Yoshihiro Narisawa, Joan Roca and Grant Achatz.
S.Pellegrino Young Chef 2015 is organized in collaboration with Vogue Italia. The fashion magazine matched each finalist with an emerging designer, selected through an international contest, to design a fashion creation inspired by their partner’s signature dish, giving birth to a fusion between fine food and style. During the Grand Final, there will be two prizes handed out to the Best Chef-Designer couple – one voted by the guests attending the ceremony, including members of the press.
The other award will be the result of an online vote via Vogue.it, where all the chef and designer creations will be published, enabling food and fashion lovers from around the world to vote for their favorite picks.
