For today's best of the blog we are taking a look to Australia, Melbourne to be precise, and the work of Ed Charles from Tomatom.com. Ed works his way through a number of food recipes and personal tasks and his latest quest has caught our eye. Ed is on a personal mission to make the perfect pork pie, not as easy as it sounds.
He's curing meats, making filling, pickling and pastry baking - a lot of work goes in to creating a great tasting pork pie which is why Ed's latest project over at the Tomato Melbourne blog is so interesting. He's currently three parts into his series and the quest continues as he tries to perfect the pastry - well worth a look if you want some tips on how to make pork pies at home.
