The Michelin Guide for New York 2016 has now been released with the city retaining all six of its three star establishments from the 2015 guide.
In the two star category there is one new entry with The Modern which sits inside The Museum of Modern Art rising from one star to two.
In the one star rating section which denotes “a very good restaurant in its category” there were 10 new entries: Tempura Matsui, Cagen, Hirohisa, Somtum Der, Uncle Boons, Rebelle, Semilla, The Finch, Sushi Yasuda and Gabriel Kreuther.
In total there are 76 restaurants with a starred rating in the 2016 Michelin guide for New York with 6 three-star restaurants, 10 two-stars and 60 restaurants with one star.
Daniel Boulud’s Daniel restaurant, which dropped from three stars to two in the 2015 guide, will have to wait at least another year to jump back into the top spot after failing to regain its third star.
