It seems that someone in the Michelin office is desperately explaining their digital mistake after some of the expected UK Michelin Guide announcements were made live a week early on the company's website.
The results were expected on the 4th October but the mistake has given some people a sneak of what to expect.
The results showed that Simon Rogan's L'Enclume in Cumbria, Michael Wignall at the Latymer in Surrey and Pierre Gagnaire and Mourad Mazouz's Sketch in London are all set to receive their second stars.
The Tom Aikens Restaurant will regain their star and a number of new one star restaurants are expected to make the list. Heston Blumenthal's Hinds Head pub in Bray was listed as receiving its first alongside Restaurant Tristan in Horsham, Alimentum in Cambridge, Thackeray's Restaurant in Kent and Paul Ainsworth at the Number Six Restaurant in Cornwall.
Despite a statement on the Michelin site saying their press office is available 24/7 no representatives are available to answer questions at the time of writing. The official guide results are expected on the 4th of October and it has not yet been confirmed whether those listed today were in fact the latest restaurants to receive stars.
Update 28th September - It seems the leaked results were all correct and Michelin eventually released the results a week early in a press release. Below are all those to recieve new stars... The New York Michelin Guide for 2013 has also been announced with NYC gaining ten new stars.
