The line up for the international food conference Mesamerica, organized by the Mexican chef Enrique Olvera, has been announced with David Thompson, Mario Batali, Alice Waters, Rodrigo Oliveira and Danny Bowien all confirmed speakers at the event.
Mesamerica will take place in Mexico city May 20th - 22nd with thousands of food lovers and chefs expected to attend a range of talks covering the whole spectrum of food.
This year will also see the organization launch two new events with Mesa Abierta and Mesa Maco. Mesa Maco will take place February 5-9th with a range of free events in museums, galleries and public spaces. Visitors will also be of given the chance to enjoy a meal prepared by a group of Mexico's best chefs.
Mesa Abierta begins March 20th - 23rd and will turn attention away from Mexico city and towards the award winning travel destination of San Miguel de Allende. Producers, distributors, artisans, chefs, and journalists will gather in San Miguel de Allende to sample products and dishes from one of Mexico's most exciting culinary destinations.
