Singaporean artist Sookoon Ang has taken to expressing the relationship between love and pain in a very unique way: through crystallized bread loafs.
The artwork is called Your Love is Like a Chunk of Gold and features bread, a common but comforting food, with huge crystal growing from it instead of mold. The crystals are grown from monoammonium phospate. The art symbolizes the contradiction of comfort and pain, which can both be a result of love.
