The celebrity status of chefs is showing no signs of slowing, in fact, the latest news that David Chang has collaborated with Nike on a pair of his own custom sneakers shows we haven't reached peak foodie quite yet.
Nike, who famously made use of sports star endorsements to build the brand we all know today, apparentlty approached the chef to create a limited edition sneaker.
The iconic Momofuku logo appears on the back and tongue of the new sneakers, which are based on the shoemaker's classic Dunk High Pro design and produced from dark denim.
Chef endorsements are nothing new but a company as big as Nike teaming up with Chang is certainly a significant move that shows how chefs are very much still the stars of the day.
The Momofuku sneakers will go on sale Thursday 22nd at FUKU in New York, costing $110.
