With Easter now upon us - here's a few egg related apps that you may find useful and hopefully fun.
There were a recorded 1 billion application downloads from Apple's app store in 2010 - with such a wide variety comes thousands of food related apps - from recipes, to guides and even apps that help you find great local restaurants - it seems that most food avenues have been given a binary makeover.
So with Easter now upon us - here's a few egg related apps (or egg-plications) that you may find useful and hopefully fun.
1. Egg Dyeing 101 from Martha Stewart - anyone who's ever had the joy of dyeing and decorating eggs will appreciate this app which gives tips, tricks and ideas on how to decorate your eggs this Easter. It includes video tutorials and walk through guides with 101 different egg designs. It costs 59 pence from the Apple app store and is great fun for all the family.
2. There are those who believe that cooking the perfect boiled egg is an exact science - but, without needing a white lab coat, you can ensure your egg is perfectly soft (or hard) with these great egg timer apps.
The Perfect Egg Timer is an app that takes boiling an egg very seriously. From the size of the egg you'd like to boil, to the altitude at which your are boiling - this app factors in everything and for £1.19 professes to make sure your eggs are never too runny again.
The Egg Timer by Exa Web Solutions is another timer and although it offers less features - this one is free and reviews on the app store suggest it will still help you boil a brilliant egg.
3. The third and final eggy app is one for the children - or all you big kids out there. This app allows users to decorate an egg on their phone screen. Decorating a digital egg cuts out all the mess and cleaning required in traditional egg decoration. The Easter Egg Painter is by Purple Penguin Inc. and is free to download from the app store.
