The latest video from The Perennial Plate features a colorful and exciting road trip through Spain. While watching, we couldn't help but think the video's editing style is remiscent of Quentin Tarantino's funky filmmaking.
In just 3 minutes and 19 seconds, the video blazes through some of the gastronomic treasures of Basque Country, Galicia, Andalucia and Barcelona. There's plenty of jamón and tapas to marvel over as The Perennial Plate's Daniel Klein samples mouthwatering dishes from each region.
Capturing a country's food culture isn't easy but kudos to Klein for opting to hang out with sheep, fishmongers and sausage makers while devouring local specialties.
As beautiful as the video is, Klein's been criticized for featuring a flamenco theme song which some see as stereotypical. He defended his choice with this disclaimer: ''we know that Flamenco isn't representative of each region, but it is from Spain and we love this song.''
