Gaston Acurio is finally publishing a cookbook in English! The renown Peruvian chef already has several cookbooks to his name but all are in a Spanish. For his next cookbook, he's teaming up with Phaidon to publish a "definitive guide to the traditional home cooking of Peru," Eater reports.
The chef proudly announced on his Facebook page that the yet-to-be-named cookbook will feature 500 recipes that are easy to prepare and help foodies all over the world learn a bit about the treasures of Peruvian food. A release date has not been announced.
This is great news for fans of the chef who have been following his rise to world fame. Acurio recently opened La Mar in Miami and runs Astrid & Gaston (recently rebranded as Astrid & Gaston Casa Moreyra) in Lima, which ranks 14th on the World's 50 Best Restaurants list sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna.
Phaidon is the publishing house behind epic cookbooks like Ferran Adria's elBulli 2005-2011, René Redzepi's A Work in Progress and Alex Atala's D.O.M. Rediscovering Brazilian Ingredients.
