Following a year of national heats, Punjabi street food stand, Jah Jyot from the UK, has been crowned European Street Food Champion 2018 at the European Street Food annual final held in Berlin yesterday.
A total of thirteen countries across Europe competed, driving thousands of miles in some cases, in a selection of assorted street food vehicles to convene in the German capital for the final exciting cook-off.
Representing a smorgasbord of Europe's finest flavours and eclectic street food offerings, from Jah jyot's crispy marsala dosa to Doh'hut's jam doughnuts and Korean inspired burgers with kimchi, there were some of Europe's tastiest street foods in the running.
However, the night belonged to the UK, who picked up three awards, while Germany scooped two titles and Romania, Russia, Sweden and Finland, one each.
