Last fall, Alinea's Grant Achatz and Eleven Madison Park 's Daniel Humm (pictured above, center) took the culinary world by storm with their historic restaurant swap. Now, Humm and his team are returning to Chicago but under different pretenses.
Humm has been invited to debut his new cookbook I Love New York: Ingredients and Recipes at The Aviary, an upscale cocktail bar and restaurant also owned by Achatz. The chef will be joined by business partner Will Guidara (pictured above, right) and some of his staff at EMP.
According to an announcement on The Aviary's Facebook page, EMP will prepare nine food stations featuring food from Humm's cookbook. The food will be complemented by Aviary cocktails and brews from the Brooklyn Brewery.
Humm's event will be held on Monday, April 15th at two different times: 6pm to 8 pm and 9 pm to 11pm. Tickets to each open house costs $135 per person and will include food, drinks and an autographed copy of the cookbook.
Those interested can book a spot by emailing events@theaviary.com.
