Chefs Daniel Patterson and Roy Choi are expanding their LocoL idea with the opening of a bakery in Oakland.
The duo already set their sites on the fast food market when they opened the first LocoL in Watts, LA, back in 2016. Opening places in underserved communities and offering high quality food at fast food prices is their mission.
The bakery, which is on 3446 Market St, serves a simple menu that’s very affordable. The menu is tight with $1 Plain Bunzz, coffee $1, Egg and Cheese bunzz at $4 and a garden salad as cheap as $3.
The LocoL Bakery will also offer whole pizzas priced at $9. This is now the third location for Patterson and Choi who are slowly fulfilling the mission they set out to achieve, their Watts location was recently voted the best restaurant in LA by the Los Angeles Times.
