We’ve come across some pretty spectacular cakes, but these unique cakes by self-taught baker Laura Loukaides really take the biscuit, and the burger, and the hot cross bun...
UK–based Loukaides is a multi-award winning baker who has never had any sort of professional training, which is hard to believe looking at her flawless creations. They’re currently whipping up a storm on social media – unfortunately she isn’t taking on any commissions at the moment, so these unusual cakes will just have to remain online and in your dreams.
Perhaps her crowning glory is this multi-tiered special cake (below) made up of burgers, subs, pancakes and profiteroles. It’s a sight to behold and delicious-looking, quite literally on many levels. Check out more of her hyperrealistic unique cakes further down.

The 24-year-old baker has also helpfully created a tutorial page on her website, including a handful of video tutorials, one of which you can see below – not all the cake designs are food-related. She makes it look easy, but we’re sure our first few goes at making these would end up pretty dog-eared.
