Anthony Bourdain knows his knives, in fact recently he got his hands on one of the world’s best chef’s knives, from master knife maker Bob Kramer.
There’s one knife he thinks all new chefs and seasoned professionals should own however.
According to the The Daily Meal it’s the Global G2 8-inch, which retails for around $100 on Amazon. It’s Japanese made and is, according to Bourdain “pretty good for a first-timer,” while also “beloved by other professionals as well.”
It’s also very light due to a hollow weighted handle, which means you can use it to get through a mountain of chopping without getting tired and it’s the kind of knife you can use for a multitude of kitchen tasks – something Bourdain encourages.
So there you have it. Bourdain has some pretty strong options on most things, including Yelp and the best way to cook steak. You can add chef’s knives to that list.
