With just over two weeks to go before the opening of Expo Milano 2015 - the first ever universal exposition to focus on a theme of food - here’s a final look at some of the country specific pavilions at the event and exactly what they will be offering the 20 million visitors expected over the six months the Expo will run.
We’ve featured a number of exciting pavilion projects opening during the Expo and as it gets closer to opening we decided to take a look back at some of the interesting food projects worth a visit during the Expo.
Czech Republic - This pavilion will offer visitors the chance to sample the best Czech products in a purpose built rooftop garden.
France - The French pavilion will be a veritable feast of delights from across France with three restaurants covering everything from classic Bistro style cuisine to a brasserie and quick refreshment point.
The USA - Team USA are going big with a pavilion surrounded by food trucks and a James Beard Foundation restaurant serving classic American dishes in the heart of Milan.
Massimo Bottura - Representing the theme of Expo the best, the Italian chef will open a temporary restaurant serving waste food from pavilions across the Expo site.
China - They haven’t revealed huge plans for restaurants but the Chinese team will be building a farm that will show people how people farm with the Chinese lunisolar calendar.
