Every year since 2007, the iPhone Photography Awards recognise the best pictures taken with an iPhone or iPad.
The photography contest were founded by Kenan Aktulun when first iPhone was launched worldwide. Eleven years after, according to Aktulun, “iPhone users have become very fluent in visual storytelling. This year’s photos were technically impressive and many of them were very personal.”
This Year's Winners
2018 IPPAWARDS winners were selected from thousands of pictures submitted by iPhone lovers who represented 140 countries from around the world.
The Grand Prize Winner Photographer of the Year Award went to Displaced, a picture by Jashim Salam from Banladesh.
The Photographers of the Year Awards went to:
1 Place: Alexandre Weber (Switzerland) for his image Baiana in Yellow and Blue
2 Place: Huapeng Zhao (China) for his shoot Eye to Eye
3 Place: Zarni Myo Win (Myanmar) for his picture I Want to Play.
