The Opinionated About Dining annual list of the Top 100 European Restaurants has been released and it’s the L’Arpège restaurant by chef Alain Passard that comes out on top. Passard also recently won The World's 50 Best Restaurant's Lifetime Achievement Award.
Second on the list is the Azurmendi restaurant in Spain and third sits with the In de Wulf restaurant in Belgium.
The list breaks down mist favourably for France who have 48 restaurants included, this is followed by the United Kingdom with 28 and Italy in third with 27.
The Special Culinary Achievement went to Rene Redzepi’s Noma in Copenhagen and the Best New Restaurant award was given to the Disfrutar restaurant in Barcelona.
