Created in 1915 at the Long Bar in Raffles Hotel, Singapore, by the barman Ngiam Tong Boon, the Singapore Sling is a gin-based cocktail that can definitely be called a classic. A splash of Angostura bitters is the final touch of the Singapore Sling, a drink that's fresh and light on the palate.
In the glass, add 0.5 oz of lime juice, 4 oz of pineapple juice, 0.33 oz of grenadine and 3 cl of gin.
Add 1.5 cl of Heering Cherry Liqueur, 0.25 oz of triple sec, 0.25oz of benedictine and a splash of Angostura.
Pour the contents into a shaker full of ice and shake vigorously. Strain the drink into a glass with ice.
Garnish the Singapore Sling with a slice of pineapple and a maraschino cherry or a sprig of mint.
