Mango Kheer (Indian Rice Pudding)

Basmati rice
140 g
Milk
400 ml
Cream
50 ml, 30% fat
Saffron
6 threads
Brown sugar
60 g
Pistachios
25 g, chopped
Almonds
50 g, slivered
Raisins
1 tbsp
Rose water
1 tsp
Cardamom
1 pinch ground
Mango
1, diced
Preparation
To prepare the mango kheer recipe place the rice, milk, cream and saffron threads in a pot and bring to a boil.
Simmer for 10 minutes with a lid on. Stir in the sugar, pistachios, almonds, raisins, rose water and cardamom.
Cook the rice for a further 10 minutes with a lid on.
Add the mango to the rice and serve the mango kheer in bowls.
